Getting a Cleaner Acapella

Start from the best-quality source you can find — a heavily compressed, low-bitrate MP3 gives the separation model less to work with than a FLAC, WAV, or high-bitrate MP3.
Vocals mixed dry (minimal reverb/delay) and sitting clearly on top of the instrumental extract more cleanly than heavily processed or buried vocals.
Backing vocals and harmonies come through in the extracted track along with the lead — if you only want the lead singer isolated from backing vocals too, that's a finer level of separation than this tool (or most consumer AI separation tools) currently provides.
If a result has more instrumental bleed than expected, try the same song from a different release or remaster — separation quality can vary between different masters of the same recording.

Will there be music bleed in the vocal track?

AI separation is very good but not perfect. Songs with clear vocal/instrument separation and minimal reverb produce the cleanest results. Complex arrangements may have some minor instrumental bleed.

Can I use the extracted vocal for remixing commercially?

The tool itself is free, but commercial use of copyrighted music requires licenses from the rights holders. Always check the copyright status of the song before commercial use.

What audio formats can I upload?

You can upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, AIFF, WMA, Opus, AMR, APE, WavPack (WV), and most other common audio formats. Can I extract vocals from a live recording or a cover version?

Yes, though results vary more than with a studio recording. Live recordings often have crowd noise, room reverb, and bleed between the vocal mic and instrument mics that a studio mix doesn't have, so expect somewhat more residual instrumental bleed than a clean studio master.
